Terms of Service
Last updated: 12 August 2026
These terms govern your use of Veil. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to them.
1. The service
Veil is a mock-interview practice tool: a private desktop overlay excluded from screen capture at the operating-system level, a web dashboard for managing your background and practice answers, and live AI coaching during practice sessions. Features may change over time as we improve the product.
2. Your account
You are responsible for the activity under your account and for keeping your password secure. Provide accurate information when registering, and let us know promptly of any unauthorized use.
3. Acceptable use — practice only
Veil is for mock interviews, rehearsal, and self-practice only. It is designed to help you prepare — not to gain an unfair advantage in a real evaluation. You agree not to:
- Use Veil during a real interview, live assessment, proctored exam, or any setting where outside assistance is prohibited.
- Use Veil to misrepresent your abilities or deceive anyone evaluating you.
- Violate the policies of any interview, exam, employer, or platform, or any applicable law.
- Upload content you do not have the right to use, or anything unlawful, harmful, or infringing.
- Attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the service or other users' data.
Use Veil to get ready, then close it and show up as your prepared self. Using it to cheat is a breach of these terms.
4. Your content
You retain ownership of the scripts, context, and media you create. You grant us the limited rights needed to store, process, and display that content back to you, and to route it to our AI provider when you request an AI answer. You are responsible for your content.
5. AI assistance
AI answers are generated by a third-party model and may be inaccurate or incomplete. They are suggestions, not professional advice. You are responsible for what you choose to say.
6. Availability
We work to keep Veil available and reliable, but the service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Veil is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill arising from your use of the service.
8. Termination
You may stop using Veil at any time and delete your content. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
9. Changes
We may update these terms. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
